7075 aluminum alloy is a cold-treated forged alloy with ultra-high strength, whose mechanical properties far exceed those of mild steel. As one of the toughest commercial aluminum alloys, it is widely adopted in all scenarios requiring high mechanical strength. Heat Treatment
The material delivers superior formability under annealed and as-quenched states with remarkable strengthening effect via heat treatment, yet extremely strict control over heat treatment parameters is mandatory. This alloy features mediocre general corrosion resistance, which can be greatly improved by pure aluminum cladding for reliable protection. It is prone to cracking during welding; welding and riveting operations are still feasible with dedicated special processes.
