SUS304 is a widely applied austenitic stainless steel renowned for outstanding comprehensive performance. In the annealed condition, SUS304 stainless steel delivers excellent mechanical indicators: tensile strength 520–1035 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, elongation ≥ 40%, and Brinell hardness ≤ 187 HB. Such mechanical properties make it an ideal material for diverse industrial applications.
In addition, SUS304 boasts excellent low-temperature impact toughness. It retains favorable ductility and toughness even at extremely low temperatures down to -196°C, making it suitable for service under harsh extreme environments. The material is intrinsically non-magnetic, yet slight magnetism may arise after cold working. Cold working elevates both hardness and mechanical strength of SUS304, rendering it suitable for applications with stringent requirements on strength and toughness.
